The show "AFRIKA" which will be hosted by Van Vicker ( an African movie star), will bring together Africa's best through a colorful and trendy fashion show from major African and African-American fashion designers, musical performances will include one of Africa’s most renowned music stars 9ice from Nigeria (who performed at Nelson Mandela's 90th birthday party celebration). The show will also highlight cultural drumming and acrobatic performances from the Zamunda African Acrobats, Juxtapower South African dancers and Kulumele drumming and dancing ensemble from Philadelphia. Other musical performances include Koleurs based in the U.S, toped with poetry by Osekre, a highly recognized Columbia graduate.

9ICE, also known as Abolore Akande

Nigerian music super star, he won the Best African Act for 2008 MOBO Awards (Music of Black Origin) in London. He also performed at Nelson Mandela’s 90th birthday celebration in London where he ignited the stage with his super hit single, “Gongo Aso.” 9ICE has currently been nominated for nine HHWA’s awards for 2009 ( HHWA’s – Hip Hop World Awards) including Album of the year, Artist of the year, Song of the year, Recording of the year, Producer of the year and Best R & B /POP Album of the year, just to name a few.

Born of a diverse heritage which includes Dutch, Liberian and Ghanaian descent, Van Vicker has become one of the most notable faces in the African Movie Industry. Van Vicker won the Best Male Actor in 2006, 2007 during GMA (Ghana Movie Awards) and he also won the Best Male Actor in 2007 Screen Nation Film and TV Awards in UK. Van Vicker is currently a movie producer, writer and a director. Zamunda African acrobats - These high energetic, magnificent, enthusiastic and mesmerizing acrobatic performers originated from the Far East of Africa and they are now a new generation of Zamunda.

Juxtapower - This group performance is based on stage production of dance and song blended with sketch humor / drama to offer the best of South Africa’s theatrical tradition.

Kulu Mele Dancers - Founded in 1969 in Philadelphia, KuluMele is one of the longest-lived African dance companies dedicated to serving the community by presenting and preserving the African culture through dance, drumming and music.

Koleurz - African Queen with a diversified array of talents which includes collaborating with artists for music concerts, a song writer, a performer and she is currently a TV host for Cablevision channel 20 ( W.E.I.T) for Long Island, Queens and New York City.

Poetry by Osekre - Born of Ghanaian descent, Osekre is a columnist, a poet, author and a citizen of the world. His politics is universal and his sense of fraternity precedes him. His delivery reminds you of a tempo you always waited to hear and his wisdom that makes you wonde about the truth been delivered. Prepare your mind to be challenged by Osekre’s vibe.
